Stress Right your wellness matters

About me

I have always led a full and diverse life, it has had its highs and most certainly its lows, but it’s never been boring. Having had my own businesses in hospitality, worked in sales, completed 20 years in recruitment, became a Samaritan as well as being a single parent for many years before taking my diploma in stress management, training and coaching. This gives me a fantastic wealth of knowledge and experience to now help others who may be in need of guidance.

I soon became aware that my nature leads friends and family to come to me when they've needed support, and over the years I developed a passion to help people and to see the changes in the people that I've helped. This in turn guided me to take my first official steps into this world of supporting others by becoming a trained Samaritan listener.

So why Stress Management?

Stress is the most common threat to our bodies wellbeing, yes stress is natural and we all need it to help us function day to day. Stress should come and go without causing us any undue harm, it's when our stress levels don't normalise that the harm is being done. Stress is the starting point, if not dealt with it will lead to anxiety and eventually depression. This is why I'm keen to help people to control their stress levels, before harm is done.

After a number of personal tragedies, I took a long look at my life and decided to change my working life and to retrain in something I am passionate about. Having researched differing types of coaching I decided on Stress Management as this gave me a wide scope of skills to be able to help and support in differing ways. I studied hard and gained a diploma in Stress Management which I was delighted to achieve.

With my background in the corporate world, my life experiences and my diploma I have helped and supported a diverse range of people either on a one to one basis or through wellness in the workplace training.

I am not being flippant about stress and how it affects people, I know first-hand how big the challenge is to turn severe stress around and to give people their lives back, but I know through experience that I can help as I have done this many times over the years. Also, I have suffered from severe stress myself, I know all to well how damaging it is and the value of the correct type of support.
